When it comes to enjoying a spot of RV camping, you would think that Los Angeles would be the last place anyone would choose – after all, isn’t it the place of glitz and glamor?

Yeah, that is true, but LA also has some wonderful places to camp, and a lot of people know this. That’s why there are many options when it comes to RV campsites in Los Angeles. So much so, you will be spoilt for choice.

With that in mind, we have narrowed the list down for you to help you to decide which RV campsite to choose. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s take a look at the best RV campsites (in no particular order) situated in Los Angeles.

1. Hollywood RV Park

The Hollywood RV Park was first established back in World War II when P-38 pilots from the Army Air Corps were stationed here. However, these days it is very different from the early 1940s.

Now a family-owned business since the mid 1970s, the RV park caters for regular guests, those in the movie industry, hospital patients, and traveling nurses – among many more.

The RV park itself is a wonderful sight. There are murals throughout which were created by women artists. There is also the Hollywood Playhouse which has comedy nights and music.

If you have a dog with you, have no fear, the service also includes dog sitting. This means you can enjoy trekking out to local places such as Burbank and Hollywood.

2. Orangeland RV Park

Another family-owned business is the Orangeland RV Park which got its name due to being built on the land which was once used mainly as an orange orchard back in 1972 – but also because it is housed within Orange County.

In fact, you can still enjoy picking oranges from the trees that are still available. Just like the above RV park, you will receive full hookups.

There is also free Wi-Fi, a refreshing pool, and even a spa. If you are tired in the evening and just want to relax, then you will be happy to know there is cable TV too.

There is a convenience store run by the park where you can buy supplies. This is great to know if you have forgotten something like your toothbrush!

3. Dockweiler RV Park

The Dockweiler RV Park is known as being the only L.A County RV campground which is situated on the beach. This makes the park super relaxing, which for some people will be the reason they choose this one.

Each campsite has its own BBQ and picnic area. However, just like most camping sites, you will need to share bathroom and shower facilities.

If you are into cycling, you will be excited to find that the Marvin Brause Bicycle Trail which spans 22 miles is close by. You will be able to visit other beaches too such as Santa Monica and Venice Beach.

You will also be close to Universal Studios and Disneyland, which is perfect for the kids.

4. Golden Shore RV Park

While this one is not actually in Los Angeles, it is close enough that you will not be very far away. The Golden Shore RV Park is actually situated in Long Beach and includes lots of things to do to keep the whole family entertained.

For example, there are BBQ and picnic areas, as well as a fire pit that is in the style of an amphitheater.

There are also pools to swim in and a local dog beach to keep your pooch happy and healthy. Also, this RV park includes a convenience store in case you need something to snack on or you have forgotten to bring something with you.

There are full hookups, as well as free WiFi meaning you can stay connected with friends and family.

5. Malibu Beach RV Park

Malibu is another place to think about when wanting to be around the Los Angeles area. The Malibu Beach RV Park is situated close to the Pacific Coast Highway, which makes it easy to get to.

In this popular park you will enjoy the mountain or sea views, as well as the full hookups and WiFi service. The RV park is also situated close to many famous tourist attractions making it a great place to stay with the whole family.

It is also a suitable place to take your dog too, as well as watch some dolphins. There is a dedicated TV room, a children’s play area and an outdoor gaming room. You will not want to be anywhere else.

6. Castaic Lake RV Park

On the north side of Los Angeles you will find the Castaic Lake RV Park which is close to many attractions, one being Six Flags Magic Mountains. As the name suggests, the RV park is situated by Castaic Lake.

The 2,500 acres of water stretches for miles. It provides visitors with the chance to swim, go sailing and water skiing, and so much more. You can even enjoy a picnic while looking at the beautiful views of the water.

There are also opportunities to fish here. However, you can also just enjoy the spa or the pool too which is based at the resort.

Just like the other RV parks, you will find full hookups here as well as shared facilities such as showers and a laundry facility.

7. Fairplex RV Park

If you want to be at least half an hour away from downtown LA, then the Fairplex RV park is going to be for you.

From the campsite of this pomona-based RV park you will have wonderful views of San Gabriel Mountains which look stunning during the early morning and when the sun is setting in the evening.

If you would prefer to be taken around Hollywood than going by yourself, this RV park can organize a sightseeing tour for you. This is a great way to see Hollywood and understand what everything is.

The resort includes a pool, as well as a relaxing jacuzzi. It also has full hookups and there are many things to do which are close to the RV park. This ensures you and your family will never be bored.

8. Soledad Canyon RV And Camping Resort

This large RV park will feel like you are in complete nature, yet you will be very close to the busyness of LA’s movie industry. While most of the RV parks hold just under 200 RVs, this place can hold just over 800.

There are many things to do at this RV park. From enjoying the clubhouse and library, to playing mini-golf with the family, you will never be bored. You can also enjoy the resort’s swimming pool and large sized picnic areas.

You will find that you are close to Six Flags, as well as Universal Studios Hollywood. And if you would prefer to head on out, there are plenty of bike trails close by to investigate.

9. Anaheim Harbor RV Park

If you are hoping to go to Disneyland, then it makes sense to stay at this RV park. You are literally able to walk from the RV park to Disneyland meaning you can arrive nice and early.

You will also be able to see the fireworks that take place at Disneyland without even having to go there. If Disneyland is not the reason you are going, there are other things to note why this RV park is worth visiting.

Not only is there a place to play golf, but there is also free WiFi, a fire pit to enjoy, a heated pool, a mini market, clubhouse, and so much more.

10. The Californian RV Resort

Lastly, there is the Californian RV Resort which is based to the north of Los Angeles and provides a quieter getaway.

While not in the hustle and bustle of LA, it does provide a more peaceful experience while being close enough to Los Angeles to commute there.

Close by you will also find the Angeles National Forest where you will see many horse ranches. This is what surrounds this wonderful RV resort.

The resort itself provides guests with full hookups, as well as exercise rooms, a laundry service, spa and a pool, wonderful natural views and so much more.

You can also buy propane if you are in need of it.
